Having grown up in
Munich, Germany, Nils picked up the guitar as a teenager. Influenced
at first by Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. At age of 17 that
he was introduced to Funk
music and was instantly hooked. But growing up in Germany the
chances to become a full time musician were rather slim. He
moved to Los Angeles in March 1985,where he hoped to
meet, study and play with some of his idols.
His debut CD Blue Planet, was released in 1998 on Brajo/ Ichiban records.
Even though “Blue Planet” featured great personnel like
Gerald Albright, Nathan East, Carl Anderson and a duet with
George Benson, it did not get the exposure it deserved.
He began doing more and more sessions and played
rhythm guitar for The Temptations, George Benson, Rick Braun
and others. He finished his 2nd CD
“Pacific Coast Highway” " I had no idea that the title song would be so
successful he says. Before I knew it “Pacific Coast Highway” was
number one from coast to coast and stayed there for 7 weeks
to become the most played song on smooth jazz radio in 2005".
He just finished his latest CD, "Ready to Play, which is
blasting the airwaves.
